Community Participation Support
Getting out into the neighborhood — building friendships, volunteering, joining classes and recreation alongside everyone else.
Learn MoreWe support children and adults living with intellectual disabilities, autism and developmental delays across Philadelphia. If your loved one has — or can get — a Pennsylvania Medicaid waiver, this care costs your family nothing. Not sure? We'll check for free.
Miracle Makers Home Care is a licensed, qualified provider serving all of Philadelphia County. We support people living with intellectual disabilities, autism and developmental delays — helping them build skills, make friends and take part fully in their own neighborhoods.
Every plan starts with the individual's own goals. Whether that means learning to cook, riding SEPTA independently, volunteering nearby or simply having someone consistent to spend the day with, we build the week around what the person actually wants it to look like — working alongside your Supports Coordinator and Individual Support Plan so every authorized hour moves toward outcomes you already chose.
Four Medicaid-funded supports, delivered at home and out in the community across Philadelphia.

Takes about two minutes. We reply within one business day.
No paperwork maze, no runaround. We handle the coordination — you just make the first call.
Call us or send the short form. Tell us about the individual, what they need and what waiver they have — or tell us you're not sure, which is completely normal.
We work directly with your Supports Coordinator to confirm the services authorized in the Individual Support Plan. You don't chase anyone — we do that part.
We match a trained support professional to the individual's goals, interests and schedule. Most families are scheduled within two weeks of authorization.
No waiver yet? Call anyway. We'll walk you through how to get one.
A waiver is the Pennsylvania Medicaid funding that pays for your family member's support. Miracle Makers is a qualified provider under all three intellectual disability waivers.
For people who live with family or on their own and need a limited amount of support. Funding is capped at an annual amount set by the state.
For people who need more support than P/FDS allows but who live in the community — at home or in a small home shared with a few others.
For people with the most intensive support needs. There is no annual funding cap, and it covers the widest range of services.
Not sure which waiver you have — or whether you qualify at all? Call (484) 229-3455 and we'll walk you through it.
Real credentials, not claims — the standards behind every single visit.
This care is funded through Pennsylvania Medicaid waivers administered by the state's Office of Developmental Programs (ODP). It supports Pennsylvanians who have an intellectual disability, autism or a developmental delay that began before age 22 and substantially limits everyday functioning.
Eligibility is decided by your county office — in Philadelphia that is Philadelphia Intellectual disAbility Services (IDS) — not by a care provider. If you haven't started that process yet, call us and we'll point you to exactly who to contact.
All three Pennsylvania intellectual disability waivers: the P/FDS Waiver (Person/Family Directed Support), the Community Living Waiver and the Consolidated Waiver.
If you aren't sure which one your family member has, your Supports Coordinator can confirm it — or call us at (484) 229-3455 and we'll help you find out.
Three steps. 1) Call (484) 229-3455 or submit the request form on this page. 2) We coordinate directly with your Supports Coordinator to confirm the services authorized in your Individual Support Plan. 3) We match a support professional to the individual's goals, interests and schedule, then begin services.
Most families are scheduled within two weeks of authorization.
No. These services are funded through Pennsylvania Medicaid (Medical Assistance). Families approved for a waiver do not pay Miracle Makers directly for authorized services.
There are no membership fees, no add-on charges and no surprise invoices from us. Any cost-sharing that applies is determined by the state, not by the provider.
We serve all of Philadelphia County, including Northeast Philadelphia (Torresdale, Holmesburg, Mayfair, Bustleton, Somerton), North and West Philadelphia, South Philadelphia and Center City.
Ask us about coverage in neighboring Bucks, Montgomery and Delaware counties.
Yes — provider choice is your right. Tell your Supports Coordinator you would like to change providers and name Miracle Makers Home Care.
They handle the paperwork, and we coordinate the transition so services are never interrupted. You do not need a reason, and you do not need to wait for a renewal date.
A trained support professional — sometimes called a DSP, or direct support professional. They help with daily living skills, community activities, communication and safety.
Every Miracle Makers staff member is background-checked, trained to state standards, and matched to the individual based on shared interests and support needs — not just who happens to be available that day.
Call us anyway. Getting a waiver starts with registering for services through your county office and being assigned a Supports Coordinator, who builds the Individual Support Plan.
We can't approve eligibility ourselves — but we can tell you exactly who to call, what to ask for and what to expect, so you aren't navigating the system alone. There's no charge for that conversation.
Every week you wait to start is a week further down the waitlist. Talk to our Philadelphia team today — with a waiver or without one — and we'll tell you exactly where you stand and what to do next. Free either way.
Tell us about the individual and we'll follow up within one business day.
